** Things to know before getting a microdermabrasion treatment **

no exfoliating 1-3 days prior, that includes: AHAs, retinoids, salicylic acids, and benzoyl peroxide

no tanning, including spray tanning the week before

rosacea, warts, open sores, pustules, eczema, and uncontrolled diabetes are contraindications of this treatment

Schedule your treatment at a time when minor swelling or peeling will not disrupt your social obligations
** Things to know before getting a chemical peel **

Avoid sun exposure prior to treatment. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.

Do not bleach, wax, tweeze or use depilatory creams in treatment area for 3 days prior to treatment

Discontinue use of retinoid, and Hydroquinone products 3 days prior to
treatment -
Discontinue use of Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, Glycolic Acids, and exfoliants 3 days prior to peel

Schedule your treatment at a time when minor swelling or peeling will not disrupt your social obligations
After Care

you need to avoid sun as much as possible for 3 days after, and you MUST apply sun screen daily.

this treatment takes 30-60% of the top layer of your epidermis off, which means anything put on your skin absorbs 100% so you really should be careful and look into the products you’re using at home or of course ask me questions!

certain facials, laser treatments, injections, electrolysis and WAXING are off limits a week before your treatment as well as a week after your treatment
